TreeMap- an interesting visualization tool

TreeMap

TreeMap is an interactive visualization tool that allows seeing both the big picture and the details of your data. It offers filtering techniques to explore the data and can be used for the visualization of budgets, projects, products, surveys, documents and other structured data set.

I found this interesting tool in Macrofocus.com. Macrofocus is a provider of interactive visualization solutions that let you see your data and turn it into knowledge you can act on. The tree map is very helpful in many fields that organizations can benefit from. Developing visualized knowledge not only offers a broader look on things, it also makes things easier and user-friendly.

Yes It is very effective in showing attributes using size and color-coding. Treemap enables users to compare nodes and sub-trees even at varying depth in the tree, and help them spot patterns and exceptions. I remember during college years when we use to use Treemap concepts in JAVA , XML type applications which can help customize any component to fit in a variety of products. This can definitely help visualization concepts at a great par.

    Good Stuff

Thanks for your comment, it's interesting to know that someone has first-hand experience with such a beneficial tool.I'm sure that this concept will keep developing to serve visualization purposes today and in the future.
